A Night of Clay, Community, and Mindfulness with Melba Seto of Seto Pottery
Our November First Friday workshop at Lake Chaparral Ressidents Association was an unforgettable evening led by the generous and deeply grounding Melba Seto, owner of Seto Pottery and Bowness Soapworks. Melba guided participants through beginner hand-building techniques. Beyond the clay, she offered mindfulness, compassion, and thoughtful reflections that made the experience truly special.
Clay slows us down. It asks us to be present. It reminds us to let go. Melba brought that energy into the room with such intention and care.
What Participants Said
The impact of her teaching showed in the feedback:
“This was such a fun experience. Thanks for your guidance & encouragement.”
“Thank you for making a safe and comforting space to learn.”
“Really appreciate the mindfulness and wellness reminders, needed that today.”
“Very fun event! Keep it up!”
“Such an awesome workshop. Loved the support and life lessons throughout.”
“What a fabulous night that made me smile.”
These reflections capture the heart of the LCRA Art Program:
connection, creativity, and community.
