I don’t think this was actually my first painting but in my core memories it is. I loved painting my rendition of Claude Monet’s “Le Grande Canal”. When I look at this piece it brings me back to our highschool art room; sitting on a wobbly stool and working on mixing and placing each brush stroke to try to capture the impresssionistic technique.
