At Krystelle Creations, we believe in the power of art to tell stories, connect people, and capture the feeling of community. One of our latest projects is a community painting created at the Little Modern Market, a vibrant local market where vendors and shoppers come together to support small businesses, celebrate creativity and all are welcomed.

The journey of this artwork began in June 2023 with a blank 4ft x 3ft canvas. Over the course of four markets, this canvas has been transformed into a stunning celebration of the Little Modern Market community. Vendors and shoppers, both past and present, were invited to add their mark to the piece, symbolizing their part in this incredible story.

Little Modern Market has grown into more than just a shopping event; it's a space that fosters connection, creativity, and mutual support. The market founder, Melissa, has worked to bring her dream to life, creating a place where local businesses thrive, and everyone feels welcome. Melissa’s vision for the market goes beyond providing a space for vendors; she empowers, supports, and encourages each person involved, and this painting is a reflection of that.

At the heart of this community art project is Krystelle's belief that

“together we can create beautiful things”.

Each brushstroke, fingerprint, and contribution to the painting represents a shared effort to create something beautiful—just like the market itself. This piece will eventually find its home with Melissa and her family, a daily reminder of the legacy they’ve built and the incredible people who have been part of it.

This painting represents more than just a market: If you’ve been a vendor or a shopper at Little Modern Market and you added your fingerprint it symbolizes the power of community and the impact we make when we come together.
